Starting in 2004, the British company Virgin has opened fitness centers all over the world.
In Italy, the interior design were entrusted to the RJD Studio, who transposed the British concept for the sports facility into an Italian key. RJD has designed seven Virgin fitness centers in Italy: Milan Bicocca Flagship, Milan Lorenteggio, Turin, Genoa, Rome, Bologna, Florence. They range in dimensions from 5000 to 8000 sqm. The common areas in the Virgin gymnasiums were the focus of the RJD makeover to give a more Italian spirit to the facility: entrance, lounge, bar, spa and day spa.
